Week 7 term 4

What is learning?

Ten weeks have past since we have been talking to Mrs Mitchell about our learning and reflecting on our learning.

When I started talking and thinking about my own learning this is what I thought learning was.

Learning is were you learn something new. Every day you should learn at least 1 thing new.

How useful has learning about Solo Taxonomy be to you in giving you some structure for thinking about your learning?
Solo Taxonomy is very useful to us because we would never been able to improve in our learning if we didn't realise that we were using Solo Taxonomy.

First we established a rubric. The next step was going and doing the work.We self assesed our work. We went and discussed with Mrs Mitchell how to improve our work. We repeated these steps over and over again until we are happy with our level of thinking.

I am glad that when I use Solo Taxonomy it helps me to:

• Improve my work
• Helps me to self assese my work

Using solo taxonomy we are lerning how to predict. Predicting is like a tipe of thinking.When I predict I think what it will be when we start. Then I will think that if I do this I think that this might happen or this might. Then I look at the one that I think is most likly to happen. We did predicting in maths and sience.We had to find at topic. My topic was who likes what characters in charlottes web. Then I made a predict. My prediction was that most people would like charlotte.I colecded my imfomation and made a graf. My prediction was wrong. Most people liked wilbur.

Today I used imagechef.Imagechef is a web 2.0 tool. I learnt how to copy my writing from imagechef to my blog.I learnt how to find the embed code and copy the embed code.I learnt that this is called html - it is computer writing.

Term 2 reflection

This term my goals were to improve my typing speed and accuracy. I also wanted to improve my spelling. Each night I revised my spelling and spent time on the computer typing. This term I improved my spelling accuracy. Next term I need to improve my typing and my writing. I have tried hard this term. Next term I will try to improve in all my learning. Over all I am having fun at school.

Drug Awareness Week

This week I have been learning about drug Awareness.I now how to put a person in the recovery position. First you put their hand up then you put their other hand up next to their cheek after that you put their knee up and roll them over. You open their mouth and see if their breathing.

The end of term 1 2009

In term 1 I learnt about Townsville history. What I found interesting was finding information on the Goanna. In Term 2 I want to spell accurately. This term I improved my times tables knowledge.
